Being a first-time mom, the thought of furnishing my sons room was completely overwhelming and actually decorating it was the last thing on my mind. But once the last functional decision was made (Diaper Genie vs The Champ), I finally got around to adding some decorative touches. But after 9 months, my son was still gazing at mostly bare walls. I just couldnt find any prints beyond the usual nursery rhyme themes, book illustrations or cartoon characters. What I really wanted was something a little more original, a little more modern - that wasnt going to cost more than the crib we bought. But the longer I searched, the less I found (isnt that always the case). Which led me to create Peekaboo Art. I started this company with a good friend of mine who has a graduate degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in San Francisco. With her design skills and my business background (Im a refugee from the Internet Boom/Bust), we set off to create a different style of childrens wall art that both the kids and parents could enjoy. We focused on a contemporary style, personalized features, affordable pricing and longevity beyond the infant/toddler years. Our end product is a timeless art keepsake unlike anything found in today’s children’s market.
