Back in 1999, like many new parents, Kelli and Jamie Ruderman had a strong desire to set-up a unique, adorably inviting nursery for their newborn. As they shopped for nursery accessories, nothing really spoke to them. This led them to create their own designs and share them with others. Their designs were so popular that demand grew and thats how Tot Dots was born. Social Ventures Inc. acquired Tot Dots in May 2007. The goal of Social Ventures Inc. is to create, incubate and acquire companies that are socially responsible and if not, we make sure they lessen environmental footprint on society and benefit philanthropic organizations. In the case of Tot Dots we benefit two organizations: Childrens Hospital & Research Center Oakland and Doctors Without Border. A percent of every purchase you make goes to these fine philanthropic organizations whether we make profit or not.
