Gemma was born in May 2001 and has born the brunt of my nappy experimentation. We started with prefolds when Gemma was born, gave up after 6 weeks (they leaked like crazy) and used disposables for a while until we discovered shaped nappies and never looked back. At one stage I wondered if Gemma would ever give up her nappies and struggled to find a nappy that could cope with a heavy-wetting 3 year old overnight for 12-13 hours. The XL section of the site came out of my frustration with searching for a good and absorbent nappy and is dedicated to her. Lois was born in February 2003 and much to my complete horror was toilet trained in the day by her second birthday. For a nappymaniac this is such a shame! I managed to satisfy my nappy addiction by purchasing all sorts of lovely nappies for her to use at night whilst I still had the chance. Baby Evie was planned partly so I could get to use some Bimbles (only joking!). We are currently using a lot of her elder sisters nappies on Evie so have saved lots of money and I must admit to having a huge fondness for these old nappies especially my old Motherease one-sizes which are in fabulous condition - I dont think I could bear to part with these now, but must accept that three children is enough for me.
